Top Hotel in Asia (#7)
Opened in 1990, Grand Hyatt Taipei was the first, true international luxury hotel to open in Taiwan. Located in the heart of Taipei’s vibrant commercial center, Xinyi, the hotel is right next door to the world’s second tallest skyscraper, Taipei 101, as well as some of the city’s best shopping and entertainment complexes. In 2015, the iconic hotel underwent a landmark renovation, which saw all of its 850 rooms and suites, nine restaurants and bars, meeting spaces and club facilities stripped bare and rebuilt in a contemporary-chic Taiwanese style. A year later, the hotel launched its first Oasis Spa and a new bakery.
