Palma de Mallorca, May 9, 2024 – Following on from the success of ZEL Mallorca, the first hotel by Meliá Hotels International and Rafa Nadal, the brand will expand its presence this summer with a second property on the beautiful Costa Brava: ZEL Costa Brava. The hotel will open in June and is set to become the place to be for those who love to party and nap – fiesta and siesta – alike.
ZEL Costa Brava combines an experience of active well-being, rest and fun, with a wide array of relaxation and well-being activities available in the hotel to revitalise the body and mind while connecting guests with an active lifestyle community.

ZEL wellness experiences and plans
ZEL Costa Brava offers everything that travellers, whether couples or families, may need for a holiday focused on rest and well-being. The hotel features a spa with a large, heated swimming pool overlooking the mountains, a sun terrace with sea views, a steam room, sauna and a wide variety of treatments, a large gym with state-of-the-art equipment and two rooms for group and personalised training sessions to ensure the health, physical and emotional balance of its guests.
Furthermore, ZEL Costa Brava guests can enjoy up to 46 different sports activities, thanks to its facilities and prime location: court sports such as tennis, soccer-tennis, basketball, hockey, table tennis, beach volleyball or water polo, to nature sports such as Nordic walking, running, cycling, trekking or CrossFit and yoga, Pilates, dance, or jiu-jitsu and water sports in the sea in its 25 m2 semi-Olympic pool.
As part of the famous ZEL Club, activities are organised weekly for guests to participate in which include swimming circuits, group running sessions, painting, creative cooking classes and social gatherings such as “verbenas” and other festive experiences in its various leisure and dining venues.
In this sense, the hotel will have a Beach Club in Cala Giverola, offering guests the finest Mediterranean cuisine for a unique and top-quality dining experience. There will also be a lobby bar, a food truck, a beach bar and several terraces.
The hotel has a large meeting room that can be split into three for events and complementary team-building activities.
A destination between the sea and the mountains
The hotel has 214 rooms and suites that are completely immersed in nature and are distributed in several 1, 2 and 3 room categories called Suites, Junior Suites, Casa ZEL and Duplex, all of them with sea, mountains or garden views or, in most cases, a combination of the three. The rooms feature CREATE® appliances, and the toiletries are specially selected creations by personal care brand HAAN®. The brand has disrupted the market with its innovative and ground-breaking products, along with its eco-friendly approach.
In addition, ZEL Costa Brava has respected the original organic architecture, always seeking its integration into the environment based on ZEL hotels’ outdoor living philosophy, featuring a design based on natural materials and elements and dynamic outdoor spaces.
As for spaces, the hotel has a main “patio” that will serve as a meeting point for guests, an ideal location to enjoy specialty coffee from Café de Finca or purchase local and international products as souvenirs.
