HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam — Three of the world's finest hotels are located within Vietnam, according to the latest edition of the 'T+L 500', Travel + Leisure magazine's annual compendium of the best international hotels.
The Nam Hai in Hoi An won a spot on the list for the first time. Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi and Park Hyatt Saigon made the cut again.
“It’s great company to be in,” said Albert Lafuente, The Nam Hai’s director of sales and marketing. “We’re six years old now, but we’re getting better with age.”
The ‘T+L 500’ is determined by readers of Travel + Leisure, the world’s highest circulating travel magazine.
The list is featured over 12 pages in the January 2013 issue — including a page devoted entirely to The Nam Hai, one of only five hotels to receive such treatment.
Voting categories included rooms, location, service, food and value. Singita Grumeti Reserves in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park earned the No. 1 overall ranking.
