HANOI (June 19, 2019) — Three Meliá Hotels & Resorts in Vietnam have received Certificates of Excellence in TripAdvisor’s 2019 worldwide acknowledgement — Meliá Hanoi, Meliá Danang Beach Resort and Meliá Ba Vi Mountain Retreat.
TripAdvisor is the leading travel review website, and the Certificate of Excellence is based on real opinions and experiences and requires a minimum rating of four points out of five. The US-based organisation presents Certificates to approximately 10% of the total businesses on its platform. There is no application process for the accolade.
This year’s Certificate was a first for Meliá Danang Beach Resort, a 264-room property with four restaurants, an infinity pool, YHI Spa and a state-of-the-art gym center. Last year, the hotel won a Most Wanted award from Hotels.com and a customer review award from Agoda.
Meliá Ba Vi Mountain Retreat also won its first Certificate of Excellence; the hotel opened in 2018. The resort has 55 rooms, including 12 bungalows and three villas. In its first year, the resort received The Best Annual Oversea Hotel in the 2018 Voyage Best Hotel & Resort Value Awards.
The longest standing Meliá in Vietnam — Meliá Hanoi — also won recognition from TripAdvisor as one of the ‘Top 25 Luxury Hotels – Vietnam.’ Open since 1999, the hotel has 306 rooms, an outdoor swimming pool in the heart of the city and a state-of-the-art business center.
In all, 185 Meliá hotels around the world received Certificates. The hotel group recently carried out a project to transform the way it relates with customers, improving its digital experience and personalising the entire customer journey. With its new omnichannel Experience Contact Centre, customers will receive more agile and efficient service, which is also expected to have a positive impact on guest satisfaction.
Together with Reviewpro, Meliá also uses the latest technology to monitor and measure the reputation of its hotel in the most important review sites.
Vietnam is one of the most important markets in the development strategy of Meliá Hotels International in APAC. In addition to Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort, which opened in April this year, the Group will soon be operating Meliá Ninh Binh, Meliá Hoi An, Meliá Saigon Central, Meliá Cam Ranh Bay and Meliá Phu Quoc.
