BANGKOK (Jan. 16, 2020) – Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit has pulled back the curtains on its most elaborate accommodation option, the one-of-a-kind Presidential Suite on the 28th floor.

From its sky-high perch, windows give way to expansive views of the city skyline. Beyond the floor-to-ceiling glass, a terrace borders the exterior of the suite and features a cushy cabana from which to enjoy the view. The dedicated dining area has space for ten and a private kitchen. In addition to an office space overlooking the city the suite has a private exercise room with a Life Fitness treadmill.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed, plush sofa, and a wall-mounted 55-inch television (one of two TVs in the suite with the other in the living room). The bedroom leads into a huge walk-in closet and powder room.

The color scheme and inspiration in the homey, 2,238-square-foot space (208-square-meters) flows from the designers reverence for a traditional Thai way of life and local craftsmanship. Golden hues are used throughout from the decorative pillows, in the lighting and the carpet motifs.

“When designing the space we traveled to our country’s ancient capitals,” said Niwat Aunprueng, senior executive partner of PIA Interior Company Limited, who was behind the interior design. “We explored markets for traditional Thai homestyle products and visited temples. We wanted to attempt to capture people’s way of life, capture the spirit of Thai traditional objects, and bring them into the modern era in this suite and throughout the hotel.”

Room rates for the Presidential Suite start at USD 2500 per night inclusive of access to the Regency Club Lounge on the 27th Floor, where they serve breakfast, light snacks, hors d’oeuvres and dessert.
