HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam (Dec. 10, 2018) – Famous for launching the first “all-spa-inclusive” resorts in Southeast Asia, wellness-inspired hospitality brand Fusion has recently signed a management agreement with the five-star Alba Wellness Resort Hue and the neighbouring Thanh Tan Hot Springs Hotel.
Located in the Alba Wellness Valley, 30 kilometers from Hue (Vietnam’s imperial capital), this elegant resort and hotel combo offers stunning mountain views, innovative spa and wellness facilities, a range of outdoor pursuits, and the only Japanese-style onsen baths in Vietnam. Tropical forests, meandering streams, and the sloping foothills of the Truong Son mountains complete the backdrop to this unique location.
“It’s the perfect match,” said Christian de Ruty, chairman of Thanh Tan Corporation, the project’s parent company and a member of Openasia Group. “The lifestyle we promote in the Alba Wellness Valley, along with the cultural values of our company, complement those of Fusion in so many ways. It is my hope that both parties will benefit greatly from this exciting collaboration.”
No strangers to creating and managing innovative wellness-inspired hospitality concepts, Fusion has been in operation since 2008. With more than 1,800 employees (including 300 spa specialists), the Saigon-based firm now holds a total of five beachfront resorts and city hotels in Vietnam, with three additional projects due to open in 2019.
“We’re very much looking forward to working with the team at the Alba Wellness Valley,” said Atilla Erda, Fusion’s chief operating officer. “The resort, the hotel, and the surrounding natural landscapes are absolutely stunning, and the unmatched facilities and services make it a very special place indeed. With the combined skills and experience of our two families, I think we can only improve on what is already an amazing project.”
Constructed at the source of the legendary Thanh Tan hot spring, the Alba Wellness Valley is also the birthplace of Alba’s exclusive drinking water range, with strict conservation efforts taken to protect both the purity of the spring water and the natural beauty of the surrounding area.
“The mineral-rich water here is unlike anything else found in Vietnam,” added de Ruty. “Its superior quality and the resulting health benefits are on par with some of the finest mineral waters in Europe. Each drop has taken hundreds of years to reach us. With our hotel and resort and the many facilities found within the valley, we’re merely enhancing what nature has already given us while guiding our guests towards complete holistic wellbeing.”
In addition to a unique range of onsen bathing experiences and now award-winning spa and wellness services, Alba Wellness Valley also offers a range of family-friendly activities such as cycling, zip-lining, trekking, visits to the on-site farm and craft village, and a kids club.
At the five-star Alba Wellness Resort, accommodation is in rustic yet elegant Vietnamese-style bungalows and contemporary Japanese-inspired rooms. Next door at the three-star Thanh Tan Hot Springs Hotel, stylish, modern, and well-equipped rooms offer one or two beds and views of the surrounding landscapes.
Despite being a relative newcomer to the market, Alba Wellness Resort already has an international accolade to its name: The stunning spa and wellness facility recently took home a Now Travel Asia Award, ranking alongside spas at The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong and Sofitel Macau.
