CHIANG MAI, Thailand (13 December, 2022) – Chiang Mai’s highest bar perched on urban hotel Meliá Chiang Mai’s 22nd floor will celebrate Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve to a backdrop of spectacular skyline views.

On 24 December 2022 from 7pm until midnight, Mai The Sky Bar will host its “Christmas Caliente Latin Party” – caliente means hot in Latin – featuring three DJs and live flamenco artists spinning Latin soundtracks.

The bar will ring in 2023 with its “Sparkling New Year’s Eve Countdown Party” on 31 December 2022 from 9pm until 1am replete with a line-up of DJs. A lucky draw will also be held at the party.

Drawing upon Melia’s Spanish origins, the bar will serve authentic Spanish tapas and pinchos at both parties, accompanied by an extensive cocktail menu.

Mai The Sky Bar is joining forces with Chiang Mai entertainers Elevate CNX to provide the DJ entertainment at both parties.

Dubbed “the place to be”, Mai The Sky Bar opened in December of this year and affords spectacular views by night of the Ping River to the city’s east and famed Doi Suthep Temple on the mountaintop to the west.

Tickets to the Christmas Caliente Latin Party are priced at THB 1,500 nett per person and include THB 500 nett of credit for food and beverages. The Sparkling New Year’s Eve Countdown Party is THB 2,500 nett per person including THB 1,250 nett in F&B credit.
