Hyatt Regency Bangkok Launches New 2020 Wedding Packages

BANGKOK (Oct. 30, 2019) – A contemporary Bangkok hotel, with a facade inspired by the joining of masculine and feminine, is enticing lovers to take the next big step within its grounds. The Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit has launched a range of wedding packages, from intimate ceremonies at the hotel’s highest perch to fanciful wedding parties in the property’s elegant pillarless ballroom.

The new wedding offerings cater to different needs, ranging from a Thai style wedding with a Buddhist altar and monk ceremony and a Chinese tea ceremony, to a more Western-style Christian service.

Couples with long guest lists can opt for an extravagant affair at the hotel’s main ballroom, with space for up to 850 guests. The 617-square-metre (6,635 square feet) space features towering ceilings at six-metres high, floor to ceiling windows at one end (for those who wish to take advantage of the natural light), a contemporary design rich in copper and rose gold tones, and diamond patterns dressing the ceilings and floors.

Ballroom wedding packages can be adapted to the bride and groom-to-be’s preferences with the option for a cocktail-style menu, international buffet, Chinese set menu or Western set menu. From bite-sized hot and cold dishes to an international buffet with an extensive range of individual menu items and carving stations, the cuisine reflect the hotel’s multicultural location with choices covering Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and Italian cuisine.

All-important touches, such as flowers (the bridal bouquet, corsages, garland, decorations), the wedding book, a five-tier wedding cake, and a one-night stay for the couple, are included in the standard wedding package. In addition, the team at Hyatt has cultivated relationships with the best wedding service providers in the city for extra services, such as photography, wedding planners, wedding gowns, floral arrangements, and room set-up.

“We’re not just offering a wedding package we’re offering the whole package,” said Parichart Puangniyom, Hyatt Regency Bangkok’s Associate Director of Events. “We think of every wedding here as if it’s our own. Every detail has to be perfect and we make sure of that.”

Puangniyom, the hotel’s lead wedding planner, has more than a decade of wedding planning experience at leading luxury hotels in Bangkok. In her most recent role, she was personally in charge of as many as 20 weddings a month, and has handled a number of VIP and celebrity weddings.

For engaged couples after a more intimate affair Hyatt Regency Bangkok has opened up its Spectrum Lounge & Bar, that spans the top three floors of the hotel, for smaller ceremonies. The new space, designed by Japanese firm SuperPotato, looks out on the city’s skyline from a number of different indoor and outdoor vantage points.

The hotel’s central location, with direct access to the Nana BTS station, its elegant new design, and the dedicated local staff are some of the property’s main drawcards.

“Thai people are very humble and peaceful people and I think that harmonious attitude comes across in all the services we provide our guests,” said Puangniyom. “Also, with our location, guests have the added benefit of easy immersion in the local shopping, nightlife, and culture of Bangkok.”

Hyatt Regency Bangkok, the newest hotel in the Nana neighborhood, sports a pleated facade that was fashioned after the folds in a traditional Thai-style dress. The unique approach to the exterior was chosen to provide balance to the masculine design of the connected building. The idea of balance runs deep in the hotel. In contrast to the energy of the surrounding area the hotel offers a calming respite from the moment visitors step on property, with verdant gardens leading into the hotel’s entrance and a soft, welcoming interior that has its design roots in Buddhism. Love pervades from the get-go with the first sculpture upon entry depicting lovers in a warm embrace.
