HANOI (Jan. 16, 2018) – Last month, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi played host to an exclusive, invitation-only music event that echoed the best of Parisian nightlife. More than 150 guests were immersed in an evening of music and mixology for one-night only, as Vietnam’s most storied hotel was transformed into a virtual stage for world-renowned party, La Nuit.
The evening kicked off with an intimate concert starring the Queen of Vietnamese Pop, Ho Ngoc Ha. During the hour-long performance, the 33-year-old singer, model and actress was accompanied by pianist, Hoai Sa, and saxophonist, Hoang Tung. Together the trio performed 20 of Hà’s hit songs from her latest musical offering, Love Songs.
Following the concert, the multi-sensory party on Dec. 8 continued into the early hours at Hanoi’s popular after-hours venue, Angelina Lounge & Bar, as DJs spun a selection of popular dance tracks. Meanwhile, the ballrooms of the French colonial property were converted into high energy nightlife venues complete with dazzling lights and stage setups.
“Party like a Parisian was the night’s motto,” said the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi’s general manager, William J. Haandrikman. “But beyond the party is the experience. We hope ‘La Nuit by Sofitel’ will set the stage for the Metropole Hanoi to become the best-known nightlife venue in the city.”
The La Nuit experience was enhanced with signature cocktails including Paris La Nuit, Champs Élysées and Bastille, paying tribute to Sofitel’s French identity. The Hanoi event follows closely behind other La Nuit by Sofitel parties that have been held in cosmopolitan cities across the US, Europe and the Middle East over the past year-and-a half — including Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, Sofitel Marrakech Palais Impérial, Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge, Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom, Sofitel Luxembourg Le Grand Ducal, Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, and Sofitel Dubai Downtown.
