The world’s media focused its lens on Hanoi in late February when U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korea’s King Jong Un met in the city for a summit. Was there a travel story in this meeting? On the day the two leaders landed, Luxury Travel Magazine Editor-in-Chief Christine Gray contacted Balcony to ask for some coordination on questions for Bill Hemmer, a longtime CNN journalist and now anchor of America’s Newsroom on Fox. Christine knew Jim had a long history in Vietnam. In fact, Jim and Bill Hemmer first traveled to Vietnam in 1992, Jim on assignment for Bicycling magazine, Bill as a backpacker.
