HOI AN, Vietnam — The Nam Hai, Vietnam's premier resort, has teamed with upscale automaker BMW to offer a new level of luxury in resort transportation.

Last week, the multi-award-winning property unveiled its new fleet of automobiles, including five 2013 BMW X5s, a sport utility vehicle (SUV) consistently rated among the best in the world.

In January, the model was named BusinessCar's 'Large 4×4 of the Year' for a sixth time. In 2010, it was voted 'Luxury Used Car of the Decade' by CAP, the UK's motor trade bible.

"The Nam Hai is — and always has been – the leader in its class," said Anthony Gill, general manager of The Nam Hai, which was hailed last year by readers of both Conde Nast Traveller UK ('Best Overseas Spa Hotel') and Travel + Leisure ('World's Best Hotels'). "This partnership, this upgrade, is further proof that we're committed to staying on top."

The sleek, new X5s will serve to transport hotel guests to and from Danang International Airport and other area landmarks, such as the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Hoi An ancient town, My Son holy land and Hue city.

The BMW X5, whose interior was recently called "impeccably finished" by North America's Consumer Reports magazine, is the most luxurious resort vehicle on the road in Central Vietnam, according to Gill.

“When you think BMW, you think ‘The Ultimate Driving Machine,’” he said. “These X5s are exactly that.”
