Vietnamese Hotel CEO Manages Everything

In Vietnam’s emerging boutique accommodation sector there’s hands on and there’s Vo Van Dan.

Dan, the founder and CEO of Elegance Hotel Group, arguably the country’s leading home-grown hotel chain, takes attention to detail to compelling extremes.

Since starting in Hanoi’s legendary Old Quarter in 2006 with a 10-room hotel and seven members of staff, the company has blazed a trail through Vietnam’s capital with bijou hotels located in historic shophouses on some of the city’s most evocative streets.

Throughout this expansion, Dan in everything from staff training to the selection of artwork in rooms and the commissioning of handcrafted furniture. Most recently, Dan designed and oversaw the construction of a brand-new wing at La Siesta Resort and Spa Hoi An, which has propelled the property into the elite category of hotels in Hoi An – a UNESCO-listed ancient port famous as one of Vietnam’s premier tourist destinations.

It’s story-worthy indeed to find a company CEO so personally invested in the evolution of  brand: one which is redefining the possibilities of the boutique hotel sector both in Hanoi and in destinations around Vietnam. Let me know if you are interested in profiling Do Van Dan. I would be happy to tee up some face time or an interview with him. Alternatively, I can help facilitate an article with more information and quotes.
