Fusion Resort Phu Quoc Expands Property

PHU QUOC, Vietnam (July 11, 2018) — Phu Quoc’s only all-spa inclusive resort, Fusion Resort Phu Quoc, is celebrating its first birthday by cutting the ribbon on new villas, new spa treatment rooms, an elegant function space, and an action-packed kids club, while guests enjoy additional summer savings.

Opened last June with 97 private pool villas, the five-star property has added eight new villas to its collection with 25 more to follow.  The thatched roof abodes, a nod to coastal living, start at a spacious 128 square meters (1,378 square feet) and are one- or two-bedroom with verdant views of the neighboring river and jungle. Interiors feature a natural color scheme with earthy tones and custom-made sunken wooden tubs. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors lead to private walled gardens, plunge pools, and floating hammocks.

The 11,210-square-meter (120,664-square-foot) Maia Spa & Wellness facility, the largest spa on the island, has added six new treatment rooms, each featuring an outdoor shower, as a complement to the existing 20 double treatment rooms. The new spa therapy spaces, plus a new and improved manicure and pedicure room, will help with the increased demand as part of the resort’s unique all-inclusive spa concept. As the first spa of its kind on the island, Maia’s menu of massages, reflexology, body wraps, scrubs and beauty treatments is available to all guests, without limits, at no extra cost.

A new multi-purpose room has been designed with weddings, meetings, and other events in mind, with space for up to 80 guests. The function space blends seamlessly with the existing architecture and, like many of the private villas, features lush tropical garden views.

At Mini Maia, the newly relocated kids club, children are kept busy with hourly activities offered seven days a week from 9 am to 12 and from 1 pm to 5 pm. The activities cultivate many aspects of local culture, from Vietnamese language classes and art with coconut leaves, to more active pursuits such as badminton and cycling excursions. The purpose-built space is equipped with a range of toys, educational equipment, and games.

The Beach Bar, another recent addition to the site, was inspired by local fishing boats often seen upturned on the sand at the end of the day. The new hangout is a prime spot for watching the sunset and includes rattan furniture with plush cushions set on sand beneath thatched umbrellas.

As part of the expansion project, Fusion Resort Phu Quoc has also broadened guest’s access to local flavors. On Thursday evenings, from 6 pm to 10 pm, the resort hosts a mini Vietnamese street food market at the charming Secret Garden restaurant. Specialties include fresh spring rolls and salads with a Vietnamese twist such as pomelo with calamari and shrimp, and grilled eggplant with tofu. Live cooking stations give guests the chance to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of an authentic street food market, with fresh meats and seafood grilled over hot spitting coals, and skilled local chefs preparing everything right before your eyes. To add to the festivities, souvenir vendors have also set up shop and there’s the option to partake in traditional Vietnamese games.

To celebrate the new additions, the resort has launched a ‘First Anniversary Special Offer’ for guests who book and stay from now till Sept. 30, 2018. The offer cuts 35% off the best-available online rates for their Pool Garden Villas, and includes a spacious Pool Garden Villa for two adults, Fusion’s “Breakfast Anywhere, Anytime” service, restorative all-inclusive daily spa treatments, a scheduled pick-up and drop off airport shuttle, a daily shuttle bus to/from Duong Dong town, plus all-inclusive wellness activities including yoga & tai chi classes, kayaking and biking, and the Mini Maia kids’ club.
