NEW YORK — For the second straight year, the same four Vietnamese hotels achieved coveted placement on the T+L 500, an awards list compiled by Travel + Leisure magazine in the United States.
The named hotels were the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, The Nam Hai Hoi An, La Residence Hotel & Spa in Hue and Park Hyatt Saigon.
The Metropole, Nam Hai and La Residence also placed in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers Choice Awards (RCA), announced in late October. Both the RCA and the T+L 500 are based on surveys completed by readers.
The influence of Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler in the United States is so strong that placement on either magazine’s awards list is considered a ‘gold standard.’
Travel + Leisure is the highest circulating travel magazine in the United States, with a monthly circulation of 960,000.
From Dec. 15, 2013, to March 31, 2014, readers of the magazine completed surveys online, rating hotels across a variety of categories, including rooms & facilities, location, service, restaurants & food and value.
