CAM RANH, Vietnam – The Anam, one of Vietnam’s most compelling new resorts, has launched a series of Wellness Journeys that feature private yoga sessions, detoxifying and slimming massages, green tea body scrubs and deep cleansing facials.
Introduced this month, the suite of new three- and five-day packages has been designed to provide a restorative holiday on Vietnam’s southern coastline.
Resident yogi Umesh hosts private 60-minute yoga sessions daily for both programs on several venues around the property, including a vast, oceanfront lawn and a yoga room and deck with an ocean view.
The calming three-day program entails a host of treatments at the Anam Spa including the 60-minute ‘Sri Mara Arising’ signature massage, 30-minute green tea body scrub, 30-minute Balinese Boreh body wrap and 60-minute facial.
Inspired by traditional Vietnamese and Balinese techniques, the signature massage relieves stress and restores harmony between body and mind as a result of the massage therapist’s focus on pressure points.
The Balinese Boreh body wrap is based on a centuries-old healing concoction comprising hand- crushed ingredients such as ginger, cloves, turmeric root and cardamom to boost blood circulation and ease muscle pain and arthritis.
The five-day slimming and detoxifying program includes a 60-minute coffee, orange body scrub and mud body wrap, three 60-minute detox and slimming massages using classic lymphatic massage techniques to stimulate blood flow and reduce water retention and inflammation in areas such as the stomach, buttocks and arms, as well as a 60-minute facial.
Freshly squeezed juices such as orange, ginger and honey or lemon, orange and ginger are also served daily.
“We seek opportunities not to just relax on the beach but to heal and re-energise physically and mentally as our lives grow all the more hectic and stressful,” said the resort’s owner and chairman Pham Van Hien. “These new programs help people spiritually discover their journey to wellness and our spectacular natural setting encourages the right mindset.”
Participants are welcome to round-out their programs with complimentary sunrise yoga sessions by the beach, as well as beach volleyball and sepak takraw (a sport known as ‘kick volleyball’ native to Southeast Asia), and time at the gymnasium, a fully equipped facility with state-of- the-art Precor technology, including treadmills, elliptical trainer, bike, bench press, and weights.
At an additional cost, the Anam’s personal trainer also holds personal training sessions at the gym and outdoors, and the Water Sports Centre offers recreational pursuits ranging from kayaking and bravo sailing, to surfing, body-boarding and snorkeling.
The three and five day programs, exclusive to guests staying at The Anam, are priced at VND 5,000,000 (USD 219) and VND 8,000,000 (USD 350) respectively.
